You are welcomed to explore the rest of my portfolio, but here’s what I’ve been working on the last couple of months.
28+ HAPPY CLIENTS DURING THIS QUARANTINE
Thanks to the power of remote work, I was able to guide my clients through rough times and get video content out to their employees and customers ASAP. It was hard work, but I was determined to help them in their greatest need.
ABOVE: Social distance interview filming with New York Times best-selling author Min Jin Lee, and 7News anchor Lisa Hidalgo
This company was running Facebook ads and seeing decent success. Then they hired me to come on board as their editor to cut 2 new commercials. I took a vastly different approach and went for a luxurious, high-end style to attract customers who could afford such an expensive product. The results were staggering and blew all their previous ad campaigns out of the water.
I brought a film crew up to this beautiful mansion set in the mountains of Blackhawk to interview America’s wealthiest Black billionaire, Robert F. Smith. Mr. Smith is an entrepreneur, investor, and savvy businessman who was kind enough to let us come to his home to capture a brief interview for Carnegie Hall.
True, it did rain on us halfway in typical Colorado fashion, but thankfully as a native I had tents and umbrellas on standby, and we were able to continue filming without any delay while keeping crew, equipment, and Mr. Smith dry and safe.
A set of 12 fast-paced videos for Instagram and Facebook, based on Zoom virtual wine and whiskey tasting/educational learning. I supervise a video crew at the studio to capture the interviews. Then I edit the final 60-min footage into a 90-sec, high-energy promo video with motion graphics, music, and Matrix/PureStorage branding.
Matrix Events came to me after their previous editor gave them less-than-desireable results. Sometimes I really CAN save a project in post.
Right before the quarantine was in full swing, Charter Communications sent me to 3 cities in 7 days to shoot 5 interviews with their top executives. To make this possible, I hired video crews in each city to be ready the moment I landed at the airport. I traveled to each, interviewed their top execs, and returned to Denver right before day 7 hit. I was able to deliver all their videos on time with excellent quality results.
Dish Network is still looking to make a 2021 Live Conference a possibility. For now, I’m helping them design their graphics and stage look for a massive ballroom. The emphasis is heavy on modern branding based around the 5G Network theme. I’ve built out some preliminary 3D designs in Adobe Dimensions to give them a 360 view of what their live event will look like.
I have a meeting to present to them at their DTC office on Sept 21st.
This annual event had to be delayed a full year due to COVID-19, but I’m still working with them to design a stage, get graphics and branding, and think ahead to video production. I design their stage concepts in Adobe Dimensions after they approve the initial sketches, and work with my graphic design and video team to package a set of graphics and videos for the big screen.
Their Pen & Podium series is usually hosted in the grand auditorium on the Denver University Campus at The Newman Center for Performing Arts. Due to COVID-19, I instead directed film crews over Zoom in Michael Pollan’s home while simultaneously directing the crew with Shelly Smith-Acuna. I also built their landing page and motion graphics. The final product was a live streaming on a Monday night to their regular subscribers.
